What Is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is one-to-one consultation with someone who wants guidance in making life changes. Although the client may decide to hire a coach for a particular issue (like finding a new career), the process is designed to help the person assess their entire lives. The life coach assists the client in creating the life they truly desire and achieving life balance. A coach trains their clients in the life skills they need, provides a sounding board when choices are faced, helps them move beyond self-imposed limitations, and supports and encourages when challenges arise. A coach assists clients to trust themselves, their desires, and their decisions.In contrast to therapy, life coaching is an interactive process between equals. The coach has an ability to listen, clarify, and guide the client from an unbiased perspective. Life coaching is action and solution oriented. However, the process puts the “problem” into the larger context of the person’s entire life. A personal coach does not try to “fix” anyone. Instead, he or she listens carefully and deeply, asks many questions to gain clarification of the real issues, and then uses a variety of methods to guide the person in making positive choices and life changes. A coach is a facilitator, supporting the client in their own self-discovery. In the process of coaching, the life coach uses written or verbal assessments to gain information. These assessments lead to insights that then guide action. The coach also has numerous resources (such as books and organizations) to refer the client to in order to make decisions and changes. A life coach helps their clients gain balance in body, mind, emotions, and spirit.A coach helps people clarify goals, develop the behaviors and attitudes to achieve those goals, and focus energy in the direction of achievement. While career and success are often the focus of coaching, the coach is careful to remember that a person’s real worth has nothing to do with “success,” and that balance in life is most important. The simple fact of having a focused coaching time every week is a motivator for people. It is a method for helping people achieve their dreams. While the process of coaching is not really new, the idea of life coaching as a career is. Life coaching is growing in popularity because it is so effective.

What is Heal Your Life® Coaching?

While much of the Heal Your Life Coaching is the same as Life Coaching in other coaching programs, there are some important differences. One of the fundamentals of Louise Hay’s work is that loving yourself is part of the solution, regardless of the part of your life you want to change. So teaching clients to use mirror work and other techniques to love and accept themselves is part of coaching people from this framework. In addition, this is a spiritual philosophy, so we know that there is a Power and Presence within us that guides and directs us- we don’t have to do all the work! As a HYL coach, you assist clients in connecting with their Knowing Self, the spiritual or intuitive part of themselves that truly does have all the answers. The spiritual foundation for the Heal Your Life Coach will fit comfortably with most religious belief systems. Every person on this planet is already a precious child of the Universe. He/she doesn’t have to BE a certain way or have achieved certain things to deserve love. However, remember last verse of the song, “I Love Myself the Way I Am”: I love myself the way I am, and still I want to grow. We all want to grow and expand and become MORE of who we already are. Heal Your Life coaching is a method of doing so.

Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP, is the art and science that can be described in a nutshell, as an “attitude and a methodology that leaves behind a trail of techniques.” First, the attitude of of Neuro-Linguistic Programming is one of curiosity and experimentation. Next, the methodology is modeling, which is the process of duplicating excellent behaviour. Another person’s behaviour can be duplicated by studying what that person does inside their head (language, filters, programs, etc.) to produce results. NLP was initially created in 1975 by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, who began modeling and duplicating the “magical results” of a few top communicators and therapists. Some of the first people to be studied included Hypnotherapist Milton Erickson, gestalt therapist Fritz Perls and family therapist Virginia Satir. Since then, many others have contributed to the growth and development of the field. And finally, the trail of techniques created through this type of modeling is what is commonly known as NLP. The programs in this catalog describe the many different techniques we teach and use.

Sports hypnosis is simply hypnotism directed towards improving sports performance. It’s used by all levels of sportspeople, from amateurs to top level professionals, and it’s successfully used to get better results in just about every type of sport.

Serious athletes are often determined to find anything that will give them an edge over their competition, as well as help them perform optimally. Hypnosis and imagery have been utilized by many such athletes to improve their game. While some regard hypnosis as some mystical or magical form of mind control, it is actually a legitimate form of treatment which has proven to be effective in bringing about positive change, developing new habits and behaviours, and releasing unhealthy or unproductive emotions, habits and behaviors. REIKI

What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy-healing therapy that treats the whole person—emotionally, physically, and spiritually—through the transmission of universal life energy to balance and strengthen the body’s energy centers, or Chakras, based on ancient Eastern techniques.

Reiki is Japanese for “universal life force,” or “the energy inherent to all creation.” It is an ancient healing art and science. Reiki is a non-manipulative, hands-on healing technique that helps to stimulate immune system function and maximize an individual’s innate healing potential.

Reiki uses hand positions on or above parts of the body that correspond to the major organs and energy centers, such as the heart or adrenal glands. The purpose of Reiki is to increase the self-healing power inherent in all, to directly connect an individual to universal life source energy.

Reiki can help patients heal faster with less pain; reduces stress and improves mental attitude; improves appetite; and can help reduce the negative side effects of chemotherapy, radiation, and other medical procedures.

Reiki energy allows muscles to relax and increases blood flow to treated areas, which—in turn—quickens the healing process. Practitioners and clients report help with stress, headaches, insomnia, upset stomach, sprains, and other minor conditions. Reiki also promotes psychological healing, including release of anger, fear, worry, sadness, and other unhealthy feelings, and replaces them with self-worth, confidence, and tranquility.

Reiki is becoming increasingly popular with the medical community, with more than 800 hospitals across the United States using Reiki as a standard part of hospital care.

What to expect?

I have a dedicated treatment room for Reiki in Dubai. I play soft music during the session as a way of masking ambient noise; however, if you prefer silence, that is acceptable as well. The client remains fully clothed, lying on a treatment table or sitting comfortably supported in a chair. Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner’s hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of the torso. Additional placements on the arms or legs can be done as needed (e.g., if there is an injury or condition that would benefit from additional Reiki).

The experience of Reiki is subjective and can be subtle or profound. You could experience heat in the practitioner’s hands, or sometimes the practitioner’s hands feel cool or even cold.

My clients often comment on how relaxing they find Reiki to be. Some clients report feeling that they are hovering in a threshold state of consciousness while still being aware of their surroundings. Some people fall into a deep, sleep-like dream state. The experience of Reiki can be dramatic; however, for some people, the first session in particular might be uneventful, although they feel better afterward.

The most common experience is an almost immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation. If you become uncomfortable, you can adjust your position at any time. Be sure to ask for anything that will add to your comfort, such as additional support under your knees or a blanket. This time is for you, and I am here to help. Receiving Reiki is a passive experience. You don’t need to try and relax or control your thoughts; just let Reiki relax you. Feel free to daydream, listen to music, focus on your breathing, or simply enjoy the sensations of the therapy.

Reiki is cumulative, and even people who don’t notice much the first time usually have deeper experiences if they continue with the therapy. You might notice other changes occurring as the day goes on—perhaps a sense of relaxed well-being, better digestion, and deeper sleep. People typically leave a Reiki session feeling refreshed; many notice feeling more tired than usual in the evening or slightly more emotional. This is not an adverse reaction, but rather the body’s natural healing response. Honor whatever wants to be healed, and be kind and gentle with yourself after a treatment.
